Parkinson’s Disease & Exercise… WHY?

exercise is absolutely CRUCIAL for Parkinson’s Disease and can help IMPROVE your quality of life. Here are some fun facts!

Exercise can slow down your Parkinson’s Symptoms. Studies show that people who do high-intensity exercise have less worsening of their movement symptoms compared to those who don’t exercise. In fact, high intensity exercise can reduce severity and help you maintain your mobility and independence longer.

Aerobic Exercise at least 3x/week can be very beneficial and it is importance to also perform strength training to work your large muscle groups ike your arms, legs and trunk!

If you were recently diagnosed with parkinson’s, high intenisty may be especially important. research shows that people with early parkinsons who exercised at a high intensity had almost no worsening of their motor symptoms over 6 months

About us

Nick and Bert have known each other since their
early days of physical therapy school and knew
there was always more for those with neurologic
conditions. They had seen so many people not
pushed to their full potential and then always saw
those same people frustrated when they had to
“stop” PT because It was no longer “medically
necessary”. At NeuroStrength Network, we
believe that living your life to the fullest Is
necessary and that a diagnosis doesn’t define
you. We want a community to be created to build
a stronger version of you.

Let us help you get stronger and maximize your life tODAY.
